ASFI Comptroller calculates that in 4 months the payment of settlements to workers of the intervened Banco Fassil will be completed

Luis Araoz, controller of the Supervisory Authority of the Financial System (ASFI) in charge of the liquidation of the Fassil Bank in intervention, calculated that in four months (October) will end with por total of settlementsa workers of the bank intervened since April 26, 2023.

Araoz maintained that there is an agreement with the workerss to conclude with the payment of settlements in October; however, he specified that there is the will to accelerate the steps with the real estate selling to be able to fulfill this obligation earlier than agreed.

On the 22nd of this month, the payment of settlements to the workers with lower income or equal to Bs 21,000. While for the rest of the dependents the payment will be made in four installments during July, August, September and October.

Regarding the employment situation of the 4,500 workers, Araoz specified that the agreement establishes that from the delivery of the settlements people are already being unlinked of Banco Fassil in intervention.

Regarding the payment schedule, the auditor remarked that in the other branches of the intervened bank (which are not from the axis), they will begin to pay just monday (June 26), because This is a long process, where you have to sign various reports and documents.
