After a month of reporting the disappearance of the artisanal vessel Doña Wilka registration ADSS-PE 1201, which set sail from Río Caribe (Sucre) with fishermen José Carmona, Luis Ángel Mujica and Saúl Carmona on board, this Wednesday, June 21, maritime authorities reported about the location of the peñero, without the crew members, in the vicinity of Margarita, Nueva Esparta state.
The boat was sighted by Aníbal Rafael Guevara –captain of the Pluma Roja supporter–, alone and adrift. He then towed the wrecked boat to the bay of El Tirano, Antolín del Campo municipality.
Pimpinas and other basic supplies for fishing were still on board Doña Wilka.

The three fishermen left from Río Caribe (Arismendi de Sucre municipality), to a kingfish fishing party, on May 19. They were supposed to come back the next day and they didn’t.
The spokesman for the Council of Fishermen and Fishermen (Conppa) of Río Caribe, William Becerra, reported that they only handle the information provided by the Pampatar Coast Guard in Nueva Esparta and are awaiting investigations.
However, relatives and close friends demand that the search and investigations be deepened, because they presume that the sea workers were victims of sea pirates.
They question the conditions in which the boat appeared, with pimpinas and other basic supplies, but without the sailors, for which they insisted that the investigation be deepened to determine what happened to the three sailors from Río Caribe.
On June 16, four fishermen who left the municipality disappeared Girardot de Aragua. Inhabitants of Choroní requested this Thursday, June 22, that the authorities continue the search, despite the sailing ban decreed by the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) due to the arrival of the storm Bret.
