The Bolivian tennis team beat Venezuela 3-0 and met its goal of returning to the World Group II Play-Offs, after securing one of the three places at stake in Group III of the American Zone of the Davis Cup. The matches are played in Asunción, Paraguay.

The national team is made up of Juan Carlos Prado (18 years old), Agustín Cuéllar (20), Ernesto Requena (19) and Raúl García (21), captained by Mauricio Solis.

Bolivia won all three of its matches.s of his series that was played all against all, since he defeated first Bermuda, then Panama and later Venezuela, all games 3-0.

Garcia played the first single and beat Rafael Abdul 6-0 and 6-1 after one hour and 15 minutes of play. The second single was won by Prado against Ricardo Rodríguez-Pace 6-3, 7-6(1), in one hour and 41 minutes.

With the victory already assured, the doubles match was played. Cuéllar and Requena faced Abdul and Juan Bianchi. The Venezuelans won the first set 3-6, but then withdrew and the victory went to La Verde.

Because Bolivia won their group will face Paraguay, who won series B, to define the winner of the tournament, this Saturday.
