The murderer of doctor Pablo Corrales confesses that he killed him to steal his motorcycle, according to an official source

The alleged murderer of Cuban doctor Pablo Corrales Susi, whose body was located four days after his disappearance was reported in Havana, he was arrested on June 20, according to La Página de Mauro Torres, a profile on Facebook associated with State Security.

The publication ensures that an “anonymous” source from the Ministry of the Interior confirmed that the perpetrator of the crime, whose identity has not been revealed, used a “ruse” so that the doctor agreed to take him from the area known as Piquera de 126 to another town. On the way back, he “seized the opportunity” to steal his motorcycle and other belongings by assaulting him with a knife.

Corrales Susi was last seen on May 29, when he was getting ready to add gas. Four days later, on June 2, his family and friends confirmed that the Police had found his body between the José Antonio Echeverría Technological University of Havana (Cujae) and Boyeros Avenue. The first details of the crime pointed to robbery as a motive, since the motorcycle was not found and the body had multiple stab wounds.

The State Security account indicated that the defendant acknowledged the “committed act”, although the authorities continue the investigation. Corrales Susi was 53 years old and worked at the Cristóbal Labra polyclinic, in the Havana municipality of La Lisa.

Citizen security has been exploited by the Cuban regime as a differentiating element of the Island over its neighboring countries, but in recent months many people have warned of an increase in armed assaults to steal motorcycles, cell phones or valuable belongings. The official page limited itself to admitting that “some violent acts are perceptible”, which have transcended on social networks.

In an editorial published by the state press last week, the government assured that in Cuba “there is no passivity or impunity” with regard to criminals, while denouncing that violent acts are “shamelessly magnified or manipulated by enemy digital sites.” .

According to the text, titled The revolutionary guard will never neglect, violent acts represent 8.5% of all crimes, of which 60% of the perpetrators are arrested and charged. In cases with fatalities or with the use of a firearm, the levels of “clarification” are higher than 90%, according to that same source.

In an attempt to maintain control of information on events, which until now was only offered by the independent press, the Government has multiplied its presence on social networks by disseminating data on related accounts. One of the most active Facebook profiles is Fuerza del Pueblo, an account also linked to the Ministry of the Interior, which daily publishes cases of robbers, clandestine factories, and theft and slaughter of cattle in Villa Clara and other central provinces.

This Thursday, this profile he pointed that only in the last two months four illegal tobacco factories have been dismantled in the Villa Clara municipality of Placetas.
