Through Operation Arena 2, the National Police, in coordination with the Environment Prosecutor’s Office, managed to apprehend 25 people and confiscate 6 dump trucks, for the alleged Crime Against the Environment in the modality Against Natural Resources, Illegal Extraction of Sand, on the beach of Pacora, district of Panama.
These people were apprehended in flagrante delicto, when they were shoveling and moving trucks with illegal sand extracted from the beach that was presumed to be sold to businesses.
The apprehended were taken before the judicial authorities for their due process.
