Minister of Barbados learns about the progress of urban agriculture in Venezuela

The Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Barbados, Indar Weirtoured the aquaponics unit, “Verde en Concreto”, located in Chacao, Miranda state, to learn about the advances in urban agriculture in Venezuela.

This productive space has 100 square meters, destined for aquaculture, hydroponics and bacteria, where the production of basil, chard, edible flowers, tomatoes, among other items, is generated, reported a press release.

In this sense, the Minister of Urban Agriculture, Greicys Barriosassured that Minister Indar Weir will take this productive experience as a reference, to replicate it in Barbados and thus be able to develop experiences that guarantee food production.

For his part, the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security of Barbados, Indar Weirexpressed a few words of gratitude for receiving him, and stressed that the intention of his visit to Venezuela is to exchange knowledge between both nations, for the benefit of the farmers of Barbados.
