Fuerza Vecinal clarifies that it has not decided to support opposition candidates

At the time of confirming his absence in the opposition primaries, the national leader of Fuerza Vecinal and current mayor of Baruta, Darwin González, reasoned that it is a “young” party, so they focus on expanding their base through mayoralties and governorships before taking the next step


The political party Fuerza Vecinal clarified that it had not yet defined a position on the support that they could give to the opposition candidates for the presidential elections to be held in 2024.

Through a message posted on the twitter account of the party, reported that the organization is still evaluating all the scenarios present around the primaries, one day after announcing that they would not participate in the electoral contest.

“We inform that Fuerza Vecinal has not yet decided to support any of the options for the opposition candidate for the 2024 presidential election. We continue to evaluate all the present scenarios around the primaries,” the tweet highlights.

He already anticipated that before making a decision regarding supporting any candidate, he would wait for the registration of all the participants of the primaries that will be held on October 22.

In the last few hours, the first candidates for the primaries have registered and it is expected that this Friday the 23rd the registrations will continue. The National Primary Commission announced that the deadline to formalize the registration, which originally closed this Friday, will be extended until Saturday, June 24.
