The Minister of Popular Power for University Education, Sandra Oblitasinformed the designation of, Ignacio Barreto Esnal, as the new rector of the National Experimental University of the Arts (Unearte), a higher study project, created under the leadership of Commander Hugo Chavez.
Through the social network Twitter @sandraoblitasr, the minister indicated that Ignacio Barreto Esnal will continue to “promote the work carried out by Tibisay Lucena, in charge of this beautiful project created by Commander Chávez.”

In this regard, the head of the Culture portfolio, Ernesto Villegas, through the digital account, expressed his sincere support for the new rector of Unearte.
“All our support to the new rector of the National Experimental University of the Arts, Ignacio Barreto, who assumes the vacancy left by our admired Tibisay Lucena, whose plans and projects Ignacio must continue, with the help of the entire team,” he said.
Ignacio Barreto Esnal, served as general director of the National Library and Library Services Autonomous Institute, in turn as vice-minister of Culture.
