More Nicaraguan migrants die in the United States

The Nicaraguan migrant Mario Antonio Ampie Rojas34, died early this Wednesday, June 21, in a traffic accident in Texas, United States, as reported by the organization Texas Nicaraguan Community, TNC, through his Facebook account.

Without specifying the fact, TNC indicated that the victim was originally from the city of Managua. “The details of the news are still in progress,” the humanitarian organization said.

With this new deceased, there are five nationals who die in different circumstances in the United States. The tragedies occurred between the second and third week of June.

Another four Nicaraguan dead

The Texas Nicaraguan Community reported four deceased migrants in the United States in the last two weeks of June. The first was jose castillo, 58 years old, died on the 14th of this month. The citizen was hospitalized for 30 days due to a heart attack.

Castillo lived in North Carolina, he had 10 years of having migrated to the United States. His family requests help through the Gofundme platform to be able to repatriate him.

Another of the deceased Nicaraguans was Jose Angel Rizo Corrales, 24 years old, originally from Jinotega. According to TNC, on June 18, the migrant made the decision to commit suicide due to alleged family problems.

«He died in his room, without signs of violence. His life partner knocked on the door and he did not answer. He was found lifeless, he made the fatal decision to take his own life,” the organization details.

On the same day, the death of Wilmer Antonio Castilblanco Rizooriginally from Estelí, who drowned while bathing in a lake in Las Vegas, Nevada, United States, the city where he worked.

The man was originally from the San Juan neighborhood, from the city of Estelí. His relatives point out that the Nicaraguan left for the US “hoping to improve his quality of life without knowing that he would find death.”

The following day, Monday, the 19th, the death by traffic accident of the migrant was reported. Javier de Jesus Garcia Molina, 28 years old, originally from Wiwilí, Jinotega. The event occurred in Tennessee, United States.

García Molina had a year of having migrated to the North American country. The organization indicated that the national’s body is in a legal medicine morgue.

A source from the Texas Nicaraguan Community detailed Article 66 that so far in June a total of 14 Nicaraguan migrants have died in the United States.
