The draft with the regulations of the Amber Alert System Law, for the rapid and expeditious location in the event of the disappearance or abduction of minors, is ready and the decree is expected to be issued next week, according to the Minister of Government , Roger Tejada.
Tejada pointed out that at the moment there is a work table of the Ministries of Government and Public Security and, according to the law, both institutions must regulate it. The head of Government assured that in the week of June 27 the table will be closed, the debates and the consultations will proceed to the signing.
The purpose of this law is to create a system through the collaboration and coordination of public and private sector entities, the media and civil society that allows the rapid location of minors in case of absence, abduction, kidnapping, disappearance, Loss or illegal deprivation of liberty, when the commission of any crime in the national territory is presumed or not.
The National Committee of the Alert System is made up of the ministries of Government, Public Security, Social Development, the Panamanian Chamber of Private Security, the National Migration Service, the National Authority of Public Services, the Public Ministry and a representative of the social media.
