The call for applications for the Mariano Rivera Sports Award will be open until June 27, at 11:59 pm, announced the Ministry of Education (Meduca), after declaring it open on Monday, June 19 for the second consecutive year.
In accordance with Executive Decree No. 50 of June 30, 2022, which creates the Mariano Rivera Sports Decoration, the requirements that the applicants must have are the following: be a Panamanian citizen, enjoy an outstanding performance, promotion, impulse, protection , career in baseball and having had national and international representation in this discipline.
In addition, having contributed to the development of national baseball in some of the minor, youth or senior categories. Enjoy moral solvency, both inside and outside this sport and be an example for children and youth.

Any citizen can nominate a candidate, as long as they meet the requirements set forth in article 4 of Executive Decree No. 50 that governs this sports award and that they are within the deadline given by Meduca.
