The National Police, through the National Directorate of Police Intelligence, through search operations, recovered an infant safe and sound, who had allegedly been deprived of liberty, in the province of Coclé, at about 5:00 pm on Tuesday, 20 of June.

According to the investigations, the National Police units apprehended a 24-year-old Panamanian woman, who, accompanied by her partner, went to the Citizen Attention Room of the Chame Police Zone to supposedly clarify this fact, after they felt the pressure of the police operations and the publications on social networks that showed part of the fact.

The baby is in good health and the woman who took him will be made available to the competent authorities.

Major Joel Hurtado Lim, Executive of the Chame Zone, indicated that thanks to the citizen alert and the continuous operations in the surrounding areas, the infant was recovered, who is safe and sound and is in the custody of the units of the Police Service of Children and Adolescents to receive medical attention.

The National Police urges parents to protect the safety of their children at all times, to prevent risk situations against their physical integrity.
