Uncle will pay 20 years for raping his 6-year-old nephew

The 2nd Trial Court of Zulia handed down a sentence of 21 years in prison for Gerónimo Rosales Moreno (40), for sexually abusing his six-year-old nephew, an event that occurred on November 13, 2020 in the 5 de Marzo sector from the Antonio José de Sucre (Socopó) Barinas municipality, reported the Prosecutor’s Office.

At night that day, the boy was at his place of residence with his parents and his uncle Rosales Moreno, who were drinking alcoholic beverages. Later, his parents went to a neighbor’s house and left the child with his uncle; moment in which the man took the opportunity to take him to a forest. After two hours, the infant arrived beaten, nervous, and not wanting to say where he was.

Due to the insistence of the parents, the victim told them what had happened, which is why they went to file the respective complaint with the regional police, whose officials apprehended the attacker the day after the event and handed him over to the Prosecutor’s Office.
