The Government of Chile has implemented the Relief Bonus for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in response to the economic impact generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Nearly 820,000 businesses will be able to access this benefit with the aim of mitigating the adverse effects of the crisis and promoting its recovery. In addition, after the approval of the increase in the minimum wage, additional financial support has been launched for MiPymes and cooperatives.
The requirements to apply for Bonus for SMEs 2023 are the following, in accordance with the previously established resolutions:
- Receive annual income of less than 25,000 UF.
- Count on the hiring of at least one employee in the year 2020.
- Present the declaration of income received from sales on at least two occasions during the year 2020 or 2021.
- Belong to the items established for this financing according to the law.
The amount assigned for the SME Relief Bond is established at one million pesos, in accordance with the law. This amount will be granted as long as the previously established requirements for this benefit.
