The revolutionary government that began with Commander Hugo Chávez, was the promoter of the new alliances with countries of the African continent and the Caribbean region, with the purpose of expanding international relations, said the deputy Gilberto Gimenez, during an interview granted on the program coffee in the morning broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión.
The parliamentarian expressed: “Since the revolutionary government that Commander Hugo Chávez started, Venezuela has turned its gaze towards an axis of countries that were previously invisible, our international relations generally focused on the United States and Europe.”

He also pointed out the importance of relations with the countries of the Caribbean Community (Caricom) and Petrocaribe, organizations whose objective is to strengthen the peoples through bilateral agreements.
“We are reaping the fruits of the vision of Commander Hugo Chávez, who at the time had our current president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, as chancellor, that is, he was very successful,” he emphasized.
