Members of the Sucre Municipal Police (Polisucre) detained a mother and her son after both assaulted a quadriplegic family member, according to complaints from residents of the sector.
The event that occurred on the main street of San Pascual in the Mesuca neighborhood of Petare was reported by members of the community who alerted the police officers of the Sucre municipality of Miranda state.
According to the police report, those apprehended were identified as 53-year-old Margarita Cardozo, mother of the victim, and her 21-year-old son Armando Lugo Cardozo.
The prisoners attacked their son and brother according to the complaints that revealed the physical attack against the immobile victim.
The woman and her accomplice would have given several blows to the invalid family member lying on a bed, and they also threw a fan at him.
The detainees are under the order of the prosecutor 70 of Less Serious Crimes of the Public Ministry.
