This Friday, the Bolivarian National Armed Force (FANB) seized 10,000 liters of diesel in an operation carried out on the banks of the Cuyuní River, in the town of San Martín de Turumbang, Bolívar state.
The operational strategic commander (Ceofanb), Domingo Hernández Lárez, indicated that during the operation, eight people were also arrested, belonging to the Structured Organized Crime Group “Los Pimpineros”.
Through his account on the social network Twitter, it is detailed that these liters of fuel were “distributed in five hundred (500) plastic drums of two hundred liters (200 liters) each.”

In addition, a boat and a 750 Hp outboard motor were seized in the operation.
He reiterated that the FANB will continue to deploy illegal mining groups that intend to carry out illegal activities that destroy the environment and ecosystems.
This is not the first operation carried out in Bolívar state. This Saturday, the FANB dismantled an illegal mining structure in Bolívar operated by the Structured Group of Organized Crime (GEDO) “El Guajiro”.
