In a press release it was reported that the general secretary of the Movement for Venezuela, Simón Calzadilla, said that Caleca has the profile of a person of dialogue, “capable of uniting Venezuela, an independent with political experience, necessary to understand himself with the parties, someone who also had managerial experience, with insight into the economy.

At the same time, Calzadilla maintained that Andrés Caleca, presidential candidate and former CNE president, is an independent option with political experience. He said that the candidate is capable of achieving unity to defeat Nicolás Maduro.

“We need a candidate who unites, who has the capacity to face the challenge of generating the extraordinary conditions that are deserved in this country so that these people surrender and the people reconquer their sovereignty,” Calzadilla said when presenting Caleca.

For his part, the candidate recounted the serious situation that the country is experiencing in all its orders and called on people to organize to demand respect for the right to vote for all Venezuelans. “We have to demand that the National Electoral Council (CNE) open the Electoral Registry in all the municipalities of the country.”

For Caleca, it is important to eliminate the indefinite re-election of popular voting posts and forcefully resume the decentralization of the country. He emphasized that a process that was stopped by Hugo Chávez and that it was bearing good fruit.
