Panama receives 54 thousand 240 doses of bivalent vaccines

A total of 54,240 doses of bivalent vaccines were received by the Ministry of Health (Minsa) through the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI), with which they will reinforce the National Vaccination Program, explained Itzel de Hewitt, national head of the PAI.

This new batch of vaccines, which arrived in the country this Wednesday the 14th, will be distributed as follows: 30,240 doses for people over 12 years of age; 18 thousand for children from 5 to 11 years old and 6 thousand for children from 6 months to 4 years.

He stressed “You should not let your guard down, not only with the vaccine against Covid-19, but also against the vaccine against influenza, which this year we have registered deaths.”

Health authorities reiterate to the population that there are vaccines available and that they can attend health centers and police centers throughout the country, Monday through Friday, starting at 7:00 in the morning.

On Friday the 16th, the population will be informed of the points where extramural conferences will be held, throughout the country, so that people can apply their doses of bivalent or influenza and thus counteract the respiratory viruses that are lurking in the environment. , right now.
