Dozens of residents of the town of Ccapacmarca (Chumbivilcas) arrived in Cusco in a protest march, in the midst of the blockade of the Southern Mining Corridor, which has been taken over for two weeks.

Led by Luis Taype, president of the peasant community of Ccapacmarca, the demonstrators went to the vicinity of the Judicial Power of Cusco, in order to demand for the annulment of Ministerial Resolution No. 372-MTC-2018, by which the communal roads of its sector, were cataloged as a national road.

The residents traveled through several arteries, passing through the Regional Government of Cusco, Prefecture and Ombudsman. “We want the Judiciary, the Constitutional Court to declare the latest ruling (on Ministerial Resolution No. 372-MTC-2018) to discuss the outrages in Las Bambasthe classification of the route has been illegal, the fight is just beginning”, the leader pointed out.
