According to the story, one of the flight attendants realizes who hit the child and claims him. The aggressor was an older adult who answered the following:
“The ‘little boy’ has me desperate with his crying, I’m an older woman and can’t stand the situation, that’s why I hit him,” was his argument.
The child’s mother, apparently, did not want conflicts with the aggressor despite the seriousness of the act. The other passengers insisted to the child’s mother that she report the incident when she landed the plane.
Airline statement
Subsequently, the plane touched down on Spanish soil and, according to Avianca in a statement, the Civil Guard was present on the aircraft and requested the statement of the crew who witnessed the events.
“Responding to the call, our crew appeared before the Civil Guard and gave a report on the event,” he says.
For her part, the complainant points out that “the officers take photos but the mother, between the shock and lack of control of the baby, omits the detail of asking for them and does not take them when she gets home. Made the complaint, they summon her today for a forensic expert opinion and hearing before the judge, “adds the complaint.
“The mother appears alone with the baby for the coroner’s report and without a lawyer (she cannot pay), however the aggressor appears in a wheelchair and with a lawyer who denies the facts… according to her, everything is an invention,” she said. .
As indicated, the stewardess did not appear at the hearing because she had to work. Something that caught the attention of the complainant seeing the seriousness of the case.
Users on social networks complain about the attitude of the stewardess and the airline.
Faced with criticism, Avianca responded:
“Additionally, if the authorities request it and admit it to the process, the crew will appear again to report on what happened and what they witnessed,” the statement concludes.
