Some 80,000 doses against influenza have been applied so far in 2023 by the Ministry of Health (Minsa), through the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI). Of these doses, 21 thousand were placed during this weekend in the house-to-house vaccination day.
Eusebia de Copete, head of nursing at the Ministry of Health, stated that together with the Social Security Fund, this house-to-house vaccination campaign was carried out in the corregimientos of Las Mañanitas, 24 de Diciembre, Santa Ana and El Chorrillo, where no Only the influenza doses were applied, but also the other vaccines of the National Vaccination Scheme, especially to children under 5 years of age who required completing their scheme.
“So far this year, 80,000 doses of influenza have been applied, the contagion rate is very low and this is due to the awareness work carried out by nurses through the media,” Copete said.
The Ministry of Health reiterates to the population that vaccination against influenza is applied free of charge, in health centers and police centers nationwide from Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
