The pre-candidate for the presidency of the Republic for the Democratic Revolutionary Party, Pedro Miguel González, spoke on Radio Panama about the primaries of his political group that are entering their final stretch towards the internal elections on June 11.
González believes that true Torrijismo will prevail in these internal elections «We trust that the criteria of the majority will prevail despite the brainwashing of recent weeks, Torrijismo will prevail in this election and we are going to offer society Panamanian a new hope».
For Pedro Miguel, the current proposals are offering more of the same without any distinction between them «The opposition candidates have nothing new to offer Panamanian society, the candidate that the government wants to impose on us has nothing new to offer Panamanian society, he represents more of the same that we have had in these 4 years and more of the same that we had in the business-like governments of Mr. Martinelli and Mr. Varela, Roux does not offer anything different, just like Mr. Lombana, the same Blandón, they offer more of the same, the only alternative and real proposal with viability and the possibility of victory in the 2024 elections would be that of the Omar Torrijos party but with a different leadership that understands the role that this party should play in society Panamanian».
