Swab center located in Megamall closed

As of tomorrow, May 31, the swab sample collection point located in the Megamall Shopping Center in Panama East, will stop providing its services, as revealed by Esmeralda Martínez, national coordinator of swab sample collection of the Ministry of Health (Minsa ).

The facility began operations in January 2022 and performed a total of 26,177 tests. It should be noted that about 550 tests corresponding to the eastern areas were applied daily.

With the closure of these swab points, the population must go to the health centers to be tested, if they present symptoms or are suspected of having covid-19.

Martínez explained that the personnel who provided care at this point will be distributed in various health centers in different regions of the country.

The Minsa calls not to let your guard down, get vaccinated against COVID-19, maintain the use of the mask in hospital facilities, in crowded places and if they have flu symptoms.
