These union elections in the country are known the same day that the elections were held at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), which at the end of the day were deferred due to various setbacks that occurred. Before carrying them out, it had been considered to study the assistance of the CNE in the process but in the end it was decided to use the machines that this house of studies has under its control.
In addition, these elections were held at a time when there are other unions that are asking for elections and who are not given permission to hold them, as well as at a time when they are fighting for an increase in the minimum wage.
