The man was sentenced for a crime of assault to seven months of probation

The police carried out a raid in a house in the havre street (Carrasco Norte) and intended stop a young man who was there. but his father tried to prevent it by hitting the policemen and “inciting his dog to also attack“, according to the Montevideo Police Headquarters.
The reason for the raid was related to drug issues and that is why the Departmental Anti-drug Brigade acted.
The troops suffered leg injuries and they had to undergo surgery at the Police Hospital. Despite that, they managed to subdue the man and remove the dog that was trying to bite them.
All of this occurred on Wednesday, May 24, and on Friday, May 26, the Court sentenced this 43-year-old man for an assault crime.
The sentence imposed was seven months to be served on probation. This means that if the condemned breaches the conditions imposed by the Justice to be released, he must comply with the time he has left in prison.
