Venezuela and Barbados strengthen relations

The Executive Vice President of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, arrived in Barbados this Friday in order to strengthen cooperation ties with the Caribbean island, according to what the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry published on its twitter account.

After her arrival, Rodríguez, accompanied by Foreign Minister Yván Gil, held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley.

“Foreign Minister @yvangil accompanies Vice President @delcyrodriguezv during a working meeting with the Prime Minister of Barbados @miaamormottley to strengthen cooperation ties with the Caribbean nation and advance the discussion of agreements on economic, social and cultural matters,” reported the Foreign Ministry in the social network.

For her part, the Prime Minister, Mia Amor Mottley, welcomed the delegation and stated that at the meeting “Barbados strengthens relations with Venezuela in energy, agriculture and air transport.”

In parallel, the Minister of Oil, Rafael Tellechea, held a meeting with Aquinas Clarke, business manager and head of the Mission of the Embassy of Barbados in Venezuela, according to his twitter account.

The also president of PDVSA added that the meeting had the participation, via online, of Lisa Cummins, senator and minister of Energy.
