The deputies of the National Assembly (AN), unanimously approved the Draft Agreement in Commemoration of the 201st anniversary of the Victory of the Battle of Pichincha, which vindicates the historical feat led by the Marshal Antonio jose de sucre, that caused the defeat of the invaders of the Spanish colony.
From the ordinary session that took place in the Federal Legislative Palace led by the president of the AN, Jorge Rodriguezthe presentation of the project was made by the deputy of the Great Patriotic Pole (GPP), Frang Morales.
“The Independence Army commanded by Brigadier General Antonio José de Sucre, made up of men and women of various nationalities but united in a common goal, to achieve freedom and promote the Spanish invader,” said the parliamentarian.
He also highlighted that in the course of the battle, Abdón Calderón, a hero of the war of independence at only 17 years old, the son of Cuban Colonel Francisco Calderón, who fought in the defense of Quito, died.

Given the aforementioned, Morales emphasized the combative example that Calderón gave, and currently young Venezuelans must continue to fight in times of permanent struggle against the hegemony of the genocidal empire of the United States.
“We have to copy that example of sacrifice and intelligence of Antonio José de Sucre to achieve the commitment of the objectives that he set himself,” said the deputy.
