The Nursing team of the Metropolitan Health Region, during the weekends from May to December, will be carrying out inoculation days to reinforce the national vaccination scheme and expand coverage in the population.
This action and strategy of the Expanded Immunization Program (PAI) with the execution of the regional team of nurses will be carried out in the form of house-to-house sweeps, for what they hope is that the population keep their vaccination card and identification.
Rina Delgado, regional head nurse, indicated that “during Vaccination Week in the Americas (VWA) in April, 5,000 children who fell behind in vaccinations were recruited, so it was decided to reinforce vaccination every weekend in a hours from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., while from Monday to Friday vaccination is maintained in the centers, police centers and health sub-centers from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
“On Saturday May 20 at the Boca La Caja Health Center, 495 doses were applied and some 196 people were surveyed, while on Sunday the 21st they moved to Paso Blanco in the Las Garzas township and 594 doses were applied. and 275 people were surveyed, added Delgado.
For this last weekend of the month of May, the conference will be held on Saturday the 27th at the Juan Díaz Policentro and on Sunday the 28th at the Santa Ana Health Center, in the month of June that begins on Saturday the 3rd it will be in the center of Health of Las Mañanitas; on Sunday the 4th, it corresponds to the El Chorrillo Health Center; On Saturday, June 10, the Curundú Health Center, on Sunday the 11th, they will be in Pedregal with the nursing staff of this Health Center.
It will continue on Saturday the 17th, the Health Center, Emiliano Ponce; on Sunday 18 in Río Abajo and will end on Sunday June 25, the health center on December 24.
