The Cuel Wind Farm in Los Angeles had to stop its operations after one of the blades fell off last Tuesday, falling dangerously without causing injuries. This fact was recorded by security cameras adjacent to the park, which was disseminated through social networks.
This blade has a dimension of about 60 meters and fell about 400 meters from the nearest house. Neighbors have complained about the strong sound generated by these elements.
The company reported that “on February 8, 2022, in the afternoon, an incident was recorded regarding the detachment of a blade from a wind turbine at our Cuel wind farm.”

They also added that “this event did not cause damage to people or material and actions were immediately initiated to develop the investigation in order to determine the causes of the incident.”
They also added that after this fact “a detailed review of each team will be included before resuming the normal operation of the park, which is currently stopped.”
Now the report that the Superintendence of the Environment must make for the return to the functions of this wind farm is awaited.
