They will define the representatives that will make up the commission for the transformation of the public health system

Health authorities met with the High Level Commission for the transformation of the public health system in order to establish the actions they will take to improve the medical care of the Panamanian population, reported the National Government.

According to the Minister of Health, Luis Francisco Sucre, at the next meeting the representatives that will make up the monitoring commission between health entities and professional associations will be defined.

This announcement came at the request of the 19 health professional associations and one of patients who were at the meeting and asked for better care.

Sucre stressed that improvements are already being made to hospital infrastructure and strategies are being implemented to strengthen the supply of medicines so that costs decrease.

For his part, Enrique Lau, director of the Social Security Fund (CSS) expressed that it is convenient to leave a legacy through a viable proposal, this through the establishment of a single service system between the CSS and the Ministry of Health (Minsa).

In this sense, they agreed that the CSS will make a report on the process of the single file platform and will request officials from the Ministry of Social Development (Mides) to support the projects through the Hive Plan, to improve health.
