Health strengthened in the face of coercive measures

In her speech, Minister Magaly Gutiérrez highlighted that Venezuela, despite the coercive measures and sanctions imposed by the United States government (USA), has been able to strengthen its health system to continue providing care to the people, indicated a press release. of the Ministry for Science and Technology.

“In Venezuela we continue to be committed to strengthening a solid and robust Health System that overcomes the adversities that have been imposed on us with more than 930 Unilateral Coercive Measures (MCU), and a blockade that intends to make it impossible to execute policies timely sanitary ”, he said.

Raising the voice of Venezuela against the sanctions, the Minister indicated that the unilateral coercive measures are “the worst disease and consequences that any nation can suffer.”

However, the Bolivarian Government, led by President Maduro, has executed plans, actions and international agreements, in order to continue promoting public policies on health that benefit the Venezuelan people, this as part of the fight against the illegal blockade. .

Join efforts for international cooperation

By reiterating her call for the union of nations to truly transform global health systems, Minister Magaly Gutiérrez urged international organizations to create a new political and financial reality that allows effective responses.

“We must achieve international cooperation in solving international problems of various kinds, without distinction of any kind. We reaffirm the call to renew the original spirit of the United Nations and its founding charter, being the urgency of creating a new political and financial reality that gives equitable and immediate responses to the important challenges that humanity faces”, he added.

Likewise, Gutiérrez highlighted that the Bolivarian Government, led by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, has remained firm in complying with the Millennium Development Goals and the 2030 agenda.

Therefore, said the Minister, “our government assumes the challenges of the millennium and now in the 2030 agenda, execute necessary actions with creativity, effort and combat.”
