Venezuela and Egypt exchange ideas to strengthen scientific ties

Venezuela and Egypt advance in the strengthening of their bilateral relations in scientific matters, in order to exchange ideas and knowledge to promote the areas of work between both nations for the well-being of the peoples.

This Tuesday, bilateral relations between the two countries were strengthened and reviewed after the meeting between the Minister for Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez, and the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Kareem Amin, referred to a press release from Ministry for Science and Technology.

Areas of development and achievements

Venezuela and Egypt have managed to advance in different fundamental areas for the development of both nations with the various cooperation agreements in education, communication, culture and agriculture, according to the I Mixed Commission in 2010, held in the city of Cairo. , capital of the Arab country.

In this sense, both nations have achieved achievements in the training in Egypt of Venezuelan personnel in gas matters; in the implementation of the scholarship program of the Egyptian International Center for Agriculture (EICA); and with the presence of two Egyptian companies in the Orinoco Oil Belt.

Relations Venezuela and Egypt

Caracas and Cairo have maintained diplomatic relations for more than 70 years and these have been strengthened since 2004, with alliances and support based on respect and adherence to the principles that govern International Law.

Venezuela and Egypt maintain strong bilateral relations and work on common issues for the well-being of their peoples.

It should be noted that as part of the XXVII Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Changethe President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, visited Egypt and held a meeting with his counterpart Abdelfatah El-Sisi.

The visit of the national President was a success in bilateral matters and in the area of combat the climate crisis that is going through the world.

As part of the strengthening of relations, at the beginning of the year, the Egyptian ambassador and the Minister of Agriculture and Land of Venezuela, Wilmar Castro Soteldo, devised plans to activate an exchange of academic and scientific experiences in the productive area during a meeting in Caracas. .

Also, in February of this year, the chancellors Yván Gil, from Venezuela; and Sameh Shoukry, from Egypt; They exchanged ideas to strengthen and promote the areas of joint work, for mutual benefit.
