The fish dies by the mouth. During his presentation to the Supervisory Commissionn of Congress, which investigates the alleged illegal acts of violation of the transparency of the President Pedro Castillo and former presidential secretary Bruno Pachecothe owner of the house Sarratea (Brena), Alejandro Sánchez, stated that he entered the Government Palace for the birthday party of the president’s youngest daughter, without entering his data accordingly.
“I went about 40 minutes and came back. He had entered with some units of the president. I did not register. I got into a vehicle as a passenger with some relatives of the president, with the president’s nephews: Fray and Giancarlos Vásquez”, he stated.
Minutes later, Sánchez added that they previously requested his name and ID. “They asked me for my name and ID before… I don’t know if they searched me. Three hours before they asked me for my ID in the same group (it was not specified if it was a WhatsApp group). (Already inside) I greeted the president,” he added.
This statement confirms, as advanced Peru21, that there is a parallel entry registry for a select group of visitors to the headquarters of the Executive; without any filter and, even more worrying, without any transparency.

Criminal lawyer Romy Chang considered that this explanation is an additional element that could exist a list “in the shadows” of those who have entered the Palace. “This proves that the president and his team do not comply with the principle of transparency, despite the warnings made by the Comptroller,” she said. And she remarked that “it is not the first time”.
“It is not that the president is learning, he has already been warned. Transparency is requested from all institutions and, in this case, it seems that they are not interested in having it. So much so that they did not register the guests at that party, ”he indicated to Peru21.
Chang said it is surprising that Sánchez mentions that he gave his information to a group. “He says that he sent his information to a group and that is because he realizes that he is screwing up, but really, what group is he talking about? It doesn’t work like that, you don’t sign up for a group and that’s it, but you do it at the entrance to check your identity with your DNI. Otherwise, he can give another name and enter. All this is an aggravating circumstance that the Prosecutor’s Office has had to evaluate because we are no longer just talking about a lack of transparency but about criminal investigations that have been generated, ”she added.
At another time, the Control Commission requested information on the recordings of the building’s security cameras, which must have recorded the arrival of all the people who attended Breña’s house, which was used by Pedro Castillo as a clandestine office during the first months.
Sánchez maintained that the videos were delivered to the president’s lawyer, Eduardo Pachas, so that he could refer them to the Prosecutor’s Office. This raises a new question: If the lawyer had the videos before the Prosecutor’s Office, could he manipulate or edit them at his convenience?
“What all this does is add elements that show that we could possibly be facing a criminal network of people who distribute functions and play a role. For this reason, the investigation of the provincial prosecutors around the president will be very important,” said Romy Chang.
KNEW THAT
- Mery Coila Ramírez, former Movadef organization secretary, also circumvented the formal registration to enter the Palace. As Peru21 showed, she met with the president, but on the portal it appeared that she visited Undersecretary Beder Camacho. The same thing happened with eight people linked to Fenatep.
- The Public Ministry went to Sarratea on January 11 to collect only the video from November 19, within the framework of the investigations of the Puente Tarata case and the participation of the lobbyist Karelim López.
