The holding this Thursday of an extraordinary general assembly of dairy industry workershaving as a frame a union dispute at Conaprole that has been going on for several weeks (consequence of positions found between company and workers after an investment in a new packaging company), altered the normal operation of the raw material reception activity (milk production sent from the dairy).
Occurred a queue of dozens of tanker trucks at the Villa Rodríguez Industrial Complexin San Jose.
This was demonstrated with a video that Conapro sources provided to The Observer, indicating that That was the situation around sunset this Thursday at that site on Route 45..
From Conaprole it was warned that this situation will generate difficulties for the reception of milk, the management of reserves and the distribution of dairy products to the domestic market..
The assembly, with a previous mobilization, has been taking place in that same locality, without its results having been disseminated so far by the union, the Association of Workers and Employees of Conaprole (AOEC).
Conaprole, in a statement to the staff, also reported that after an incident that took place last Saturday at that industrial plant, which caused a tower to not be operational for 24 hours, distorting industrial processes, “it has requested on more than four occasions the AOEC postpone the general assembly”.
“Unfortunately, the union leadership maintained its decision to hold the assembly (…) and they have only granted minimal guards,” the statement said.
This Thursday’s statement, from the cooperative to the staff.
The AOEC, for its part, after the incident on Saturday at that industrial plant, released information about what happened.
