The São Paulo Metro distributes free HIV detection self-tests today (10). The action, which will take place at Sacomã Station on Line 2-Green from 10 am to 3 pm, will also feature health professionals to guide those interested, in addition to the distribution of male and female condoms.
According to the subway, due to health safety, the self-test cannot be carried out at the station itself. Passengers will be able to use it in a reserved place, such as their own home. The result is immediate. Technicians from the State Department of Health, organizer of the event, will clarify doubts for the person to do the self-test correctly.
According to a survey by the Social Metrô program, the stations have already made it possible to distribute more than 86,000 condoms in the second half of 2020. In the same period, 4,320 people received individual guidance.
