The Organizing Committee of the 66th edition of the Caribbean Series Miami 2024 remains open to talks with the Panamanian and Colombian Leagues with a view to a possible participation of both teams in the fair that will be played at the IoanDepot Park stadium of the Miami Marlins , in February 2024.
Despite the fact that a few days ago it became official that Nicaragua and Curaçao will be invited countries in Miami 2024, Colombia and Panama have continued in dialogue with the organizing committee about their eventual participation and thus have eight participants, as happened in “Gran Caracas 2023” and it was a resounding success.
It has been reported that in the next 30 days, the Organizing Committee will be evaluating the possibilities of options so that Colombia and Panama are in the next Caribbean Series where, in addition, the 75th anniversary of the founding of the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation will be celebrated. (CBPC).
The Miami 2024 Organizing Committee remains and will continue to inform the Assembly of the Professional Baseball Confederation, made up of the presidents of the Leagues of Venezuela, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and Mexico and Commissioner Juan Francisco Puello Herrera, of each step that is giving especially everything related to the assembly of the coming contest.
The Caribbean Series has been registering great growth and strengthening of the brand in all senses in recent years, thanks to the joint work of the entire great family of the CBPC and the member leagues.
“If the conditions for Colombia and Panama to be back in the 2024 Caribbean Series, that will be decided by the Assembly, which is the entity’s highest body,” says a brief information note from the CBPC.
So far, the CBPC, the Miami 2024 organizing committee and Miami Marlins executives have held press conferences in the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua, Venezuela and Puerto Rico, where they are exploring “strategic” agreements in the commercial areas with those leagues ahead of the February 2024 contest.
