Members of the Cristóbal Rojas Municipal Police in Valles del Tuy, Miranda state, captured two women in Charallave, for committing crimes under the Organic Law for the Protection of Children and Adolescents (Lopnna).
The police report reflects that, at the address of the Policharallave Criminal Investigation Service, the officers received a telephone call from a citizen, who denounced that in a building on Block No. 63 of the Ciudad Miranda de Charallave urban complex, she lives an 11-year-old girl who was being prostituted by her relatives.
Immediately, a police commission was activated that began the investigation of the case.
The facts
Upon arriving at the apartment, the officials confirmed that the victim’s mother and sister (11 years old) were profiting financially after selling the girl, whom they subjected to have a sexual relationship with a resident citizen of Caracas. The 11-year-old girl is pregnant.
The officials practiced the apprehension of the citizens involved in the case, to whom they read their constitutional rights.
The detainees respond to the names of Cintia Tibisay Salazar Rodríguez (43 years old), mother of the girl; and Tailenes Yorelvis Piñango Salazar (22 years old), the girl’s sister.
Both the victim and the detained citizens were transferred to the nearest medical center, where a medical evaluation was carried out.
The detainees Salazar Rodríguez and Piñango Salazar were placed under the order of the Twenty-second (22nd) Prosecutor’s Office of the Public Ministry, which will accuse them before a Control Court in the Mirandino subregion.
