The Sector Vice President for Citizen Security and Peace and Minister of People’s Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), A/J Remigio Ceballos Ichasoreaffirmed the commitment of the Venezuelan citizen security agencies to guarantee human rights and the dignity of women’s lives.
As part of the defense of the 9th report of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Womenbefore the CEDAW of the United Nations Organization (UN), the Chief Admiral highlighted that the Republic shows the advances to exalt the life of the Venezuelan woman, who is a “fundamental pillar in the development and construction of the Homeland”.

The Committee for the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) is a body made up of independent experts to supervise the application of this Convention.
The also Minister of People’s Power for Interior Relations, Justice and Peace (MPPRIJP), stated that “we are advancing in the legislation, actions and measures for their defense.”
It is worth mentioning that the policies, plans, projects and documents contemplated in the Grand Mission Peace Quadrantshave the gender and non-discrimination approach ordered by the Magna Carta and organic laws on the matter.
