From the ADES they assure that the situation that the IAVA is going through, which has its director investigated and separated from the position, constitutes an “outrage” by the authorities

The Association of Secondary School Teachers of Montevideo (ADES) called a strike next Tuesday in support for teachers and staff IAVA Lyceum within the framework of the administrative investigation carried out by the General Directorate of Secondary on that educational center and its director, Leonardo Ruidíaz, who was investigated and removed from office.
“Taking into account that next Tuesday May 23 IAVA teachers and officials involved in the administrative investigation will begin to declare (…) is resolved stop for 24 hours“, expresses the statement of Ades.
The teachers’ union also calls for a demonstration at the entrance of the secondary legal offices at the time of the beginning of the declarations.
The strike was defined in the last trade union assembly on May 18 and lasted all day on Tuesday “against the run over who is living high school,” the statement said.
