Regarding the influx of people in the market, Ängulo commented that “We are open 7 days a week and it is safe for consumers, we have the National Police with a station in the same market, Acodeco is always verifying prices, the Ministry of Health that verifies the status of the products and we have the presence of Customs because we do not allow contraband within the market.
He also referred to the opening of markets in West Panama for the benefit of consumers in this region of the country “We plan to start the two markets (Mercado de Abastos and the Public Market) before the end of the year, it is a vital part for Panama The West is an infrastructure that the population is waiting for its opening, they want their market.
