MADRID, Spain.- This weekend “Cuba Nostalgia” returns to Miami, the largest Cuban exhibition in South Florida, to be held at the Fair Expo Center.
In this 24th edition of the event, according to its organizers, there will be no shortage of exhibitions, souvenirs, art, typical dishes, live music and conferences on Cuban culture.
“Cuba Nostalgia, celebrating Cuban generations, is proud to present its twenty-fourth year of Cuban culture and heritage,” reads the website of the festival.
Among the attractions this year will be the replicas of important places on the Island such as the Havana boardwalk, the Cathedral, the El Encanto store, the Tropicana cabaret, the Morro Castle, the payret cinema, the Paseo del Prado, the Museum of Fine Arts and the Floridita bar.
Lena and Malena Burque, Albita Rodríguez, Aymée NuviolaLeslie Cartaya, Nic N’Taya and Luis Bofill are some of the artists who will offer concerts this Saturday and Sunday.
In addition, the public will be able to enjoy the humor of Conrado Cogle, popularly known as Boncó Quiñongo.

The schedule for May 20 includes the celebration of the Miss Cuban American contest. Also on Saturday, as a novelty and by popular request, the Bodeguita del Medio will be open until 2:00 in the morning.
Ninoska Pérez Castellón has been the artist in charge of making the poster for the current edition, which will be dedicated to the Virgen de la Caridad.
As he told The New Herald Peter Regalado, producer of the event, for this year the amount of public must exceed that of the previous one, when 20,000 visitors were registered.
