The Venezuelan Finance Observatory (OVF) reported on Thursday, May 18 through its account on Twitter that the food basket, which consists of 80 products, stood at Bs 9,798 during the month of April; which is equivalent to 390 dollars and which also represents an increase of 0.58% compared to the month of March.
The graphs refer to the fact that not even with the salary in the private company, which according to the OVF is around 142 dollars, and even less with the 30 dollars that public administration employees receive with the “indexed war bond”, do they reach to be able to afford what the basic food basket is worth.
