The Ministry of Labor published resolution 752/23 detailing the content of decree 4928 salary increase, it provides that the retroactive must be paid until May 31 this year and no worker, in any type of work, must earn less than Bs 2,362, the document indicates.
“In accordance with Paragraph II of the First Final Provision, of Supreme Decree No. 4928, the retroactive payment of the Salary Increase and the application of the National Minimum Salary of the 2023 management, must be made until Wednesday, May 31 of the present management”, indicates the ministerial resolution published this Thursday.
On May 1, the Government, as every year, provided for a 5% increase in the national minimum wage and a 3% increase in the basic salary. The Ministry of Labor had to prepare the compliance regulations, that step was fulfilled this Thursday.
“The Salary Increase It is not mandatory for company personnel or employment establishment of the private sector that holds positions of: presidents, vice presidents, board members, managers, deputy managers, general directors, directors or deputy directors who have a salary level commensurate with the assigned position”, indicates another part of the resolution.
Companies must take forecasts for the subscription of the agreement with its workers that are agglutinated around a union or collectively with all, sends the resolution.
In cases where the salary increase based on 3% does not reach the amount of the minimum wage, must be leveled up to the amount of Bs 2,362, even if this leveling implied a percentage greater than 3%. Also, in cases where the increase provided exceeds the amount of the minimum, it must be respected.
