Daniel Arturo Rosales Frixioneson of the deceased former Ortega magistrate Francisco Rosales, will return to the defendants’ dock this coming May 25, the day on which the case will be continued in which a couple from the department of Rivas lost their lives, and whom the defendant rammed in a stretch of the Pan-American highway.
The fateful accident that claimed the life of Pedro Joaquin Cubillo Quiroz30 years old, and that of his wife, Eilish Milagro Mora Torrez, 23, occurred at night on March 21. That fateful night, both were accompanied by their 18-month-old son, who made a satisfactory recovery weeks after the traffic accident.
The couple lived in the municipality of Potosí and at the time of the road accident that claimed both their lives, they were returning from the municipality of Belén and going home aboard motorcycle license plate RI 32822, which Cubillo Quiroz was driving from north to south. Cubillo was recognized in the department of Rivas, since he was a member of a philharmonic group in the municipality.
Other charges are brought
Rosales Frixione is facing trial in the Courts of the department of Rivas for the crime of homicide by way of eventual intent and not for reckless homicide due to a traffic accident, because all the tests carried out by the forensic doctor point to the fact that the defendant was traveling under extreme drunkenness and drugged.
The Public Ministry also accused the son of the former magistrate of causing very serious injuries to the detriment of an 18-month-old boy, who was the couple’s son, and also for exposure and abandonment of people. Daniel Arturo Rosales Frixione fled the place, abandoning the deceased and his little son.
They demand exemplary punishment
The same day of the fateful accident, the truck that the defendant was driving went viral on social networks, after different citizens shared his photograph when it was badly parked outside a shopping center. It was visible in the images that the driver was not in his right mind, as he parked on a platform in the local parking lot.

“We demand that justice be done, because that child now grows up without the warmth of both parents,” said several residents of Rivas. “An exemplary punishment is necessary, that the full weight of the law fall on that irresponsible driver,” another citizen demanded.
