This Thursday, May 18, the National Police and the Ministry apprehend 10 people during the development of Operation Sweep, in search of people linked to investigations into recent events of Homicide, Attempted Homicide and other crimes.
There were 21 simultaneous search procedures carried out in sectors of Panama East, Panama West, Panama Centro and the district of San Miguelito, where several residences were searched, locating the suspects who already have an arrest warrant.
Among those apprehended is alias “Gamal”, allegedly linked to a homicide that occurred on April 24, 2023, in sector 2 of the township of Pacora. Also, alias “Squidward” and alias “Bofa”, related to an event recorded on March 31, 2023, where a child under 14 years of age lost his life due to a gunshot wound to the head.
Likewise, alias “Cooper”, linked to the crime of Homicide, which occurred on May 7, 2023, and alias “Pelu” linked to a Homicide which occurred on April 3, 2023, in the search of this subject, alleged illegal substances were seized and cash.
Others apprehended were aliases “Manuelito” and “Popi”, who are linked to a Homicide recorded on April 9, 2023, in Colinas de El Valle and alias “Maizón” linked to a Homicide that occurred on April 3 in the corregimiento of Tocumen. Also apprehended was an alias “Plácido” who was seized for alleged illicit substances during the proceeding.
The apprehended were transferred for the procedures corresponding to orders of the Public Ministry.
