The Caracas Metro had 23 points in various subway stations to carry out vaccination days. Children and adults can attend and receive doses against various diseases, as indicated by the National Immunization Plan
He Caracas Subway, together with the Ministry of Health, are promoting a vaccination day for all citizens in the capital city starting this Wednesday, May 17. For this, the underground system had 23 points for Venezuelans to go to get vaccinated and take their children for this activity, for which it is not known until when.
“We invite all users of the Caracas Metro to go to their nearest station. Grandma, grandfather, mother and representative. Come with your son and your vaccination card,” said the Minister of Science and Technology, Gabriela Jiménez.
Jiménez stressed that there are more than 3,000 vaccination points throughout the country with the vaccines that are in the National Immunization Plan.

Vaccination days for the population include pentavalent, inactive polio, diphtheria tetanus toxoid, Yellow Fever, Measles, Rubella, Mumps and covid-19.

Meanwhile, children will be given vaccines against polio, measles, rubella, mumps, diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, meningitis and pneumonia due to Haemophilus Influenzae type B, Yellow Fever and covid-19.

The Caracas Metro stations where these vaccination days are held are arranged at the following points from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.:
- Line 1: Palo Verde, Petare, Miranda, Chacaíto, Plaza Venezuela, La Hoyada, Gato Negro and Propatria
- Line 2: El Silencio, Antímano, Carapita, La Paz, Zoo and Las Adjuntas.
- Line 3: La Bandera, El Valle, Coche and La Rinconada.
- Line 4: Central Park and Theaters
The stations of the cable systems are also added: MetroCable San Agustín, Mariche of the MetroCable and Petare II of the CableTren de Petare.
The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) warned that the American continent faces an “imminent crisis” of outbreaks of diseases caused by the lack of vaccination, for which it urged countries to urgently intensify routine vaccination efforts for all ages.
“As we emerge from the devastating effects of the covid-19 pandemic, the risk of new and emerging outbreaks in the region is at the highest level in the last 30 years,” said PAHO Director Jarbas Barbosa on past April 20th.
