The Government of Canada -through the World Health Organization/Pan American Health Organization (WHO/PAHO)- delivered oxygen therapy equipment and nasal antigen tests to Bolivia to treat cases of covid.
“I want to thank all the cooperation we are receiving today, we have already distributed 50,400 nasal antigen tests throughout the country, we are receiving 5,000 consumable kits of supplies for oxygen therapy and 50 oxygen concentrators. The latter is a device that, being already connected, is like an oxygen generator,” said Health Minister Jeyson Auza.
Bolivia received, at the end of 2021, a batch of 1,965,600 doses of the Moderna vaccine and during this day that delivery was formalized by protocol.
The oxygen therapy equipment has already been distributed by the Government to the first and second level health centers, which have the greatest needs for the care of their patients complicated by the virus.
According to Auza, of the more than 22 million vaccines in the country, 30% are donated through the Covax mechanism, while 70% were acquired through the efforts of President Arce and become part of the comprehensive strategy and the national vaccination plan.
