Call to study and work in Ireland closes next week

In this second edition of the NED College call, #BeNED 2023are enabled 300 scholarships: 150 will be distributed for the Dublin campus and 150 for the Limerick campus, which are the two headquarters of NED College in Ireland.

Of the total scholarships, 30 will have 100% coverage for a 25-week English course and the rest will get discounts of 50%, 40% and 30%.

For participate, those interested must complete, between May 5 and 17, the form that appears at https://becas.ned.ie and pay €20 (twenty euros) to register and access an evaluation test. Registration stages

Among the requirements for Paraguayans are: be a Paraguayan citizen, of legal age, have a valid passport, not be a relative of directors, partners or employees of NED College and not be enrolled or a current student of NED College.

After registration and payment of registration, applicants will receive on May 18, via email, a online test of 50 multiple choice questions to test your knowledge of grammar, trivia about Ireland and information about NED College.

No previous knowledge of English is required.

This test will be enabled on May 20 for a period of six hours and each applicant may make only one attempt to respond.

The participant may check your score immediately upon completion of the test.

English classes and extracurricular activities

The English courses offered by NED College they can be short-term (less than 12 weeks) and long-term (more than 12 weeks).

It is not necessary to have previous knowledge of Englishsince before the beginning of classes a written and oral exam is carried out to place the student at the appropriate level.

In addition to intensive English classes from Monday to Friday, the school also offers extracurricular activities, excursions and trips that make the student environment very enjoyable.

It also has a support system for the student, who receives assistance from a local reference in their native language for the visa application, accommodation and everything related to life in Ireland.

At the end of the course, students can choose to take an international exam from the University of Cambridge, IELTS, or TIE. All of them internationally recognized and approved by the Irish Government.

Students who take a long-term course can access a part-time job, that is, 20 hours a week; and then opt for the full-time option, 40 hours per week. The idea is that the student, in addition to learning a language, is independent and lives the total immersion experience in Ireland.

Ireland is a very safe country with one of the highest minimum wages in the European Union (€11.30 per hour). A student can earn approx €1500 euros per month. In this way, many young people can recover the investment in the trip and also visit other cities and countries of the continent.

The student can renew the 6-month course and stay for up to 2 years with the possibility of extending the study visa for up to 7 years in Ireland, with the possibility of permanent residence.
