In Tucupita, Delta Amacuro state, a march of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) was held in support of the president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
The mobilization, which started from Los Fundadores square, toured the streets of Tucupita to Amacuro street, where supporters reiterated their support for President Nicolás Maduro and his management.
The governor of Delta Amacuro, Lizeta Hernández, sent a message to the mobilization from San Francisco de Guayo, where she is doing a day’s work. The regional president highlighted the reasons why the region has always supported President Maduro, recalling the continuity of social investment policies among the most vulnerable populations, such as indigenous people, Afro-descendants and women.
He added that, while previous governments referred to the attention of citizens as “social expenses”, the management of presidents Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro praised activating these approaches as, social investment, “in life”.
Opinion of the attendees
Luis Cartaya, one of the attendees, said he had attended the mobilization to support the policies of President Maduro, in the midst of his efforts to “take the country forward despite the sanctions and the corruption of some stateless people,” he said.
Norelis Sucre, from the Deltaven community in Tucupita, thanked President Nicolás Maduro for maintaining the social aid policies, through the Clap and the Patria card vouchers.
